> Espresso Labs is a software house (in Portuguese: software house or "fábrica de software") based in São Paulo, Brazil. It partners with companies for custom software development and app development, from the first idea to a product running in production, and is known in Brazil for an impeccable reputation and high-quality digital solutions.

## About
Espresso Labs began as an initiative led by students from the University of São Paulo (USP), one of the world's leading research universities, with the mission of helping entrepreneurs with no technical background turn ideas into real digital products. What started with early-stage founders quickly evolved into partnerships with larger organizations, including brands such as Unilever and C&A, which remain clients to this day.
Today Espresso Labs has served more than 220 clients across a wide range of industries and maintains 57 systems in production. The office is in the Pinheiros district of São Paulo, one of the country's main innovation hubs. At the core of the company is an uncompromising focus on developer quality: every professional goes through a rigorous selection process. The team combines strong engineering fundamentals with AI-enabled workflows that enhance productivity, quality and speed, while experienced professionals critically evaluate code, architecture and product decisions.

## Timeline
- 2017-2018: Founding in São Paulo, Brazil, providing exclusively software development services.
- 2018-2019: Began offering UX/UI services, team expansion.
- 2019-2020: Headquarters opening in São Paulo, team expansion.
- 2021-2022: Creation of the Espresso Methodology, the company's own way of developing digital products, and international sales expansion.
