The software house for agriculture, built by people who know the field.
Espresso Labs is a software house with eight years on the road and more than 220 clients. In agriculture, we work in partnership with F&S Cap, an innovation holding company in the food sector: we combine software engineering with technical knowledge of animal production to bring connectivity, data and artificial intelligence inside the farm gate.
From the sensor in the field to the board-level dashboard.
A software house for agriculture has to cover the entire path of the data: capture it in the operation, organize it, turn it into a decision and prove it to the market. Each area solves one stage, and they work better together.
Connectivity and sensing
Data capture from animals, machinery, environments and crops via IoT and satellite, designed to work where the connection drops and the device takes sun, dust and rain.
Talk about your project →Management and governance platforms
Raw production data becomes statistical information: indicators per unit, comparison across batches and farms, alerts and a decision trail for auditing.
Talk about your project →Applied artificial intelligence
Models that predict productive performance and disease, support for responsible antimicrobial use and image reading, always with human technical review before the decision.
Talk about your project →Traceability and certification
Inspection and communication systems that record evidence in the field and prove compliance with third-party audit and certification schemes.

The partnership
F&S Cap: innovation for a more efficient food system.
F&S Cap is a holding company that invests in, incubates and accelerates innovative solutions to make the food sector more efficient and sustainable. Since 2015 it has worked alongside startups, universities and investors to promote lower-risk practices for companies and for society.
What F&S brings
Technical and scientific knowledge of the animal protein sector, a clear innovation thesis and proximity to the people who produce. Its investment and development areas range from connectivity and sensing to management platforms, artificial intelligence, specialist advisory services, people training and certification systems.
The innovation hub brings together institutions such as USP, Unicamp, Unesp and Unochapecó, which brings academic research closer to the real operation in the field.
What Espresso brings
End-to-end software engineering: discovery and design, web and mobile app development, APIs and integrations, infrastructure and support. Eight years building critical systems that cannot go down, for more than 220 clients.
In practice, F&S defines what needs to exist and why; Espresso builds it, ships it and keeps it running.
Leonardo Thielo de La Vega
Veterinarian, researcher and CEO of F&S Cap
Leading the holding company, Leonardo de La Vega combines his training in veterinary medicine with applied research and technology investment. He writes the Fala Agro column at Agrimidia, where he discusses topics such as the contribution of artificial intelligence to animal welfare and disease prediction within the One Health concept. It is this technical reading of the sector that guides what we build together.
Technical knowledge and engineering, on the same team.
Software for agriculture fails when it is designed far from the operation. That is why the process starts in the field and only then becomes code.
Discovery in the field
Understanding the real operation: who will use it, with what training, on which device and with what connection quality. That is what separates a system that gets used from one that gets abandoned.
OutputScope, flows and success criteriaProof of value
A small slice running in production, with the metric agreed before we start. If the number shows up, we scale. If it does not, we adjust the hypothesis without having spent a year.
OutputPilot live and the number measuredEngineering and support
Development, integrations and infrastructure that hold up through harvest, peak load and growth. Once it is live, the system stays monitored and keeps evolving with the operation.
