Espresso Labs at Rio Innovation Week 2026: introducing Devint to the market

Espresso Labs joined Rio Innovation Week 2026 at Pier Mauá to introduce Devint, its performance evaluation platform for tech teams. See how the participation at the ABStartups open innovation booth went.

Espresso Labs took part in Rio Innovation Week 2026, held at Pier Mauá in Rio de Janeiro and one of the largest technology and innovation events in Latin America. We were there with a clear goal: to introduce Devint to the market.

Devint in the spotlight

Devint is Espresso Labs' platform for evaluating the performance of technology teams. It was born from a problem we faced ourselves: with AI now part of everyday development work, evaluating developer performance with real criteria became much harder, and traditional methods stopped keeping up. The methodology behind the product already runs in our own teams and is now reaching clients, with the DevScore summarizing each professional's performance in a score from 0 to 100.

Rio Innovation Week was the stage we chose for the commercial launch. Throughout the event, CEO Eduardo Missaka and commercial director Lucas Chicuta presented the platform to technology leaders, founders and investors, gathered feedback and opened the first conversations with companies interested in trying the product.

Our presence took place at the open innovation booth of ABStartups, the Brazilian Startup Association. We want to publicly thank them for the opportunity: exhibiting alongside other innovative companies, in a space designed to connect startups and large corporations, was the ideal format for Devint's debut. The ecosystem ABStartups has been building in Brazil for years makes a real difference for anyone putting a new product into the world.

A different kind of debut for an event veteran

This was a curious milestone for us: the first time Espresso Labs joined an event to promote a product of its own. We are veterans of international trade fairs, with past presences at MWC in Barcelona and at Hannover Messe in Germany, but always in the role of a software house, prospecting custom development projects.

This time the badge was different. We arrived at Pier Mauá as a product company, with a pitch, a demo and a roadmap.

What this says about our strategy

Rio Innovation Week marks a new phase for Espresso Labs. The company's strategy now runs on two fronts at the same time: expanding the software house business internationally, where we already operate in markets such as Belgium and the Netherlands, and testing new products of our own in Brazil, starting with Devint.

The two fronts feed each other. More than 8 years building software for 220+ clients gave us the know-how and the cash flow to invest in product, and the products, in turn, give us something to show on the stages we already attend abroad.

If you didn't stop by our booth but want to get to know Devint, talk to us. The first access spots for the platform are open.
